DON'T FRY DAY To help reduce rising rates of skin cancer from overexposure to the ultraviolet (UV) rays of the sun, the National Council on Skin Cancer Prevention has designated today, the Friday before Memorial Day as “Don't Fry Day" to encourage sun safety awareness and to remind everyone to protect their skin while enjoying the outdoors. They may already be happening today, or coming very shortly, either way, thunderstorms are cool! If they have lightning, they are even better. Why? Because they benefit the Earth. According to the National Severe Storms Laboratory, without thunderstorms and lightning, the earth-atmosphere electrical balance would disappear in 5 minutes. Not sure what this means, but definitely doesn't sound good.
